Dear Rahla and Richard,
Thank you for the enormous contribution the Power of Play Seminars make
in preparing two of our newest Showmen, Michael "Wild Thing"
Wilson and Elmer "String Bean" Martin. We are extremely pleased
with the transformation we have seen in both of them since they
participated in your training.
I must admit that when we first discussed the idea of working with you,
I wasn't quite sure what the Power of Play was. In the sports world, the
words "peak performance" have one meaning. It was risky to see
how Globetrotter performance could be enhanced with theater games,
improvisational technique and the rest of your imaginative processes. Now
I am pleased that I took the chance on you and your expertise.
The feedback from Michael and Elmer during the week they spent with you
was very positive. Although they had fun, it was not always easy for them.
At times they confided in my that their week with you was "harder
than Spring Training." They also admitted that they were constantly
amazed at their own creativity and excited about applying the results of
their work on the court as well as in their personal lives.
One of my biggest concerns was making sure that whatever they learned
would be sustained after they left the seminar. I am pleased to report
that they are doing an excellent job of being more spontaneous and
creative in their performances. They have found moves and bits they never
would have done before your seminar. We're excited to discuss the
possibility of having the rest of the Harlem Globetrotters work with you
in the near future.
Once again, on behalf of Harlem Globetrotters, International Inc.,
thank you for doing an excellent job.
Sincerely
Jeff Munn
