THE POWER OF PLAY....
was originally conceived and developed at Step Up On Second,
a
nonprofit organization in Santa Monica, California established to
give a helping hand to the mentally ill and homeless. The very
roots of The POWER OF PLAY are
in the human potential movement and much of Rahla Kahn's work has
been in partner-ship with nonprofit corporations whose missions
further that
She has developed a variety of services to meet the wide-ranging needs
of community-based social service organizations. They include:
- Fundraising & Benefits- Combining
her comedic talent with the principles of The Power of Play, Rahla has
created a hilarious, interactive, one-woman show that is innovative,
entertaining, and consistently produces standing ovations.
- Playshops & Seminars-Nonprofit staff and volunteers perform some of the most difficult and serious
work that occurs within communities. In order to avoid burnout and
maintain joy in what they do, it is essential that they balance their
work with opportunities to "lighten up." Playshops range
from two-hour sessions to full weekend intensives.
- Keynote Speeches-Rahla will bring your conference or training attendees to their feet with
her rare gift for merging laughter, inspiration, and acknowledgement
for the people who devote their lives to making a better world.
Some of Rahla's nonprofit clients include: The Wellness Community (which provides psychosocial support to adults with cancer); HumoRx
(advised by Norman Cousins); Jewish Family and Children's Services; Temple Solel; The Fulfillment Fund; The Creativity Center; New
Vision Spiritual Growth Center; Conversations With Women™; the Arizona Kidney Foundation, and many others. To see what some of them have to
